Adding an electric heat kit to your AUX Inverter Ducted System gives you auxiliary heating capabilities for colder days when the heat pump just might not be enough. The EKH-15-1 is a 15 kW heater and will provide approximately 51,000 BTUs of heat. A plug-in wiring harness allows for easy installation into your AUX Air Handler. The EHK-15-1 15 kW heat kit for use with 30,000, 36,000 and 48,000 BTU AUX Inverter Ducted Indoor Air Handlers.
The EHK-15-1 electric heat strip will produce 15kW at 240V (requires 2 breakers - 60 amp and 30 amp) and 11.3kW at 208V (requires 2 breakers - 60 amp and 25 amp). A great option for back-up heat!
