Adding an electric heat kit to your AUX Inverter Ducted System gives you auxiliary heating capabilities for colder days when the heat pump just might not be enough. The EKH-05-1 is a 5 kW heater and will provide approximately 17,000 BTUs of heat. A plug-in wiring harness allows for easy installation into your AUX Air Handler. The EHK-05-1 5 kW heat kit for use with 18,000 and 24,000 BTU AUX Inverter Ducted Indoor Air Handlers.
The EHK-05-1 electric heat strip will produce 5kW at 240V (30 amp breaker) and 3.8kW at 208V (25 amp breaker). A great option for back-up heat!
