The WhisperGreen Select line from Panasonic offers quiet (low-sone), customizable ceiling fans rated for continuous operation.
At the core of the FV-0511VK3 is an enclosed brushless electrically commutated motor (ECM) rated for continuous operation and long-lasting performance. It features a built-in thermal cutoff fuse for safety. Versatile and adaptable, the fan offers easily adjustable ventilation / Pick-A-Flow Airflow Selector with airflow /CFM rates at 50, 80, or 110 CFM to meet your specific space requirements. And it operates on standard 120V, 60 Hz household current.
The FV-0511VK3's durable fan housing is constructed from 26-gauge steel with a Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium (ZAM) coating for superior corrosion resistance. Built-in metal flange provides blocking for penetrations through drywall. It contains a built-in damper that reduces backdraft and helps with blower door testing. Installation is flexible and accommodating, as the unit is suitable for installation in ceilings insulated up to R60 and includes an articulating and expandable bracket that fits joists up to 24 inches apart. The unit comes with a 6" duct but 4" (with a reducer, field supplied) ducting is allowable as well.

A Plug 'n Play SmartAction Motion Sensor (sold separately) may be added to your exhaust fan. It will automatically kick the fan on when someone enters the room and then will automatically shut off after 20 minutes with the delay timer. This is an excellent option for use with people with disabilities or in nursing homes. The FV-0511VK3 grille cover attaches directly to the housing and includes a motion selector cap if the motion sensor has not been selected.
