Product Overview
The AquaMotion Recirculation Systems are the perfect retrofit solution for hot water quickly. As many homeowners know, you can turn on the faucet and wait for the water to heat up for a very long time - sometimes more than 2 or 3 minutes. That waiting time is literally washing away gallons of wasted, good, clean water not to mention energy. Simply put, hot water recirculation saves cooled water from being dumped down the drain while waiting for hot water. Hot water cools once you turn off your water. Lukewarm water in the hot pipe is bypassed into the cold supply line. A pump, sensor, switch and bypass valve provide automatic operation so that there is always hot water at the sink. Because the cooling hot water uses the cold water supply line to return the water to the tank, you will experience some warm water from the cold water faucet. Once the cold water is turned on, the warm water is flushed out quickly.
The AquaMotion AquaFlash is a great, affordable and easy to install option for hot water instantly to all of your water fixtures. It is for use with a standard hot water heater without a dedicated return line and requires no under sink power. The AMH1K-3UV is a 2-part system. The first part - the pump, which includes a timer - is installed onto the hot water line of your hot water heater and is plugged into a standard household outlet (requires power at the tank). The second part - the AquaFlash thermal valve - is installed at the sink furthest from your tank. Under the sink, the valve and braided hose is connected to the hot water line. The other end of the the hose is connected to the cold water line. No electricity is needed at the sink. The 24 hour timer is easy to use and includes 3 modes - on, off and timer. Off is perfect for when you are on vacation - there is no need to run the pump at all! The timer is able to be set for up to 3 set timed intervals across a 24 hour period. For example, it should probably be set for the busy hot water demand time in your household like morning shower time or evening meal clean-up. No more time or money wasted watching the cold water wash down the drain.
