The AquaMotion Recirculation Systems are the perfect retrofit solution for hot water quickly. As many homeowners know, you can turn on the faucet and wait for the water to heat up for a very long time - sometimes more than 2 or 3 minutes. That waiting time is literally washing away gallons of wasted, good, clean water not to mention energy. Simply put, hot water recirculation saves cooled water from being dumped down the drain while waiting for hot water. Hot water cools once you turn off your water. Lukewarm water in the hot pipe is bypassed into the cold supply line. A pump, sensor, switch and bypass valve provide automatic operation so that there is always hot water at the sink.
An under the sink recirculation pump gives you the option of hot water quickly, without time, money and energy going down the drain. The AMH3K-7 has everything you need to install right under your sink. It does require access to an electrical outlet at the sink to operate. So as long as your hot water tank does not have a return line and you have space and power under your sink, the AquaMotion AMH3K-7 may be exactly what you need to have hot water when you need it. It installs quickly without any pipe cutting required and easily gets attached to the water hoses at the valve and plug it in!
The AMH3K-7 under sink recirculation kit is for single pipe hot water tanks with no return line. For the best results, it is installed at the furthest fixture away from the hot water tank. The pump has a built-in 24 hour mechanical timer with 15 minute increment tabs and built-in, non-adjustable Aquastat. The Aquastat will tell the pump to run when it senses the water at the fixture is starting to drop below 85°F and will run for about a minute or so until it reaches 105°F degrees and shuts off. The pump will run about 3 times per hour for less than 5 minutes.
All of the moving parts of the AquaMotion AMH3K-7 recirculator are housed in a "Green Eco Cartridge Design". It is the only field serviceable and replaceable cartridge available. With this design, simply remove the rotor assembly, flush the cartridge with water and reinstall it. Simple, cost effective, patented technology!
