The AccuTrak VPE-1000 is an easy-to-use, yet powerful tool to help maintenance professionals locate problems in many HVAC, heating and pressurized systems. It features two highly sensitive ultrasonic sensors that detect high frequency sound. One sensor detects ultrasound traveling through the air, such as gas and air leaks, while the other detects it through solid surfaces, such as mechanical wear and friction within the machinery.

The Superior AccuTrak Leak Detectors use a technology called heterodyning to convert high-frequency ultrasonic sounds into lower frequencies that can be heard through the included professional headphones. This allows users to clearly hear problem sounds while minimizing interference from everyday background noise. It only picks up ultrasonic noises, not audible range noises such as voices or other electrical or mechanical devices.

Along with the essential components, the kit also includes a durable hard carrying case with custom inserts for securing and storing everything:
