The Single Phase Digital Line Voltage Monitor (LVM) offers top-tier protection against voltage spikes and dips. Featuring a bank of five surge arrestors, it provides added safety for your valuable electronics, especially mini split systems. The newly designed ICM492DX includes all of the features of the ICM492D including tactile push buttons, backlit display screen for low light conditions and LED lights load energized, control, set up and fault. Additionally, the ICM492DX has an increased fault memory from 5 events to 50 events on the ICM492DX. The Voltage Setpoint has been moved from a percentage target voltage to a numerical value for more precise settings.

A great add-on investment to protect your mini split system equipment. The ICM492DX monitors the line voltage coming into your space and will protect your equipment from under- and over-voltage situations. Under-voltage conditions may stem from brown outs, (power drops very low). Over-voltage situations are often caused by grid issues or failures and may last up to a few minutes. An over-voltage situation can cause irreparable damage to control boards in your system. The ICM492DX monitors the drifting voltages constantly, which is especially important with mini splits. The voltage monitor also incorporates anti-short cycling to prevent damaging conditions such as reversing the scroll compressor and restarting your compressor under high head pressure. The ICM492DX DOES NOT protect against lightning strikes. Use an ICM517A or other single phase surge protector.
Moving forward, the ICM492DX will also be included in ICMs Sentry3N1 - an all-in-one voltage monitor and surge protector device with disconnect. With the Sentry 3N1, there is no need to purchase individual pieces of equipment to get the protection you want for your HVAC appliances! Within the Sentry3N1, if anything becomes damaged, including the voltage monitor, it should be replaced
The ICM492DX offers advantages over several other competitive LVMs include a dry contact relay (vs latching relay), more compact and streamlined case to fit into tight spaces, backlit screen, tactile buttons and a 5 fault memory.
