Product Overview
RAVTRANS kit is required when replacing an AZ75/AZ85 series vertical air conditioner with a Friedrich VHA series VTAC. The Friedrich VHA VPAK units fit into the RAVTRANS and the RAVTRANS fits inside existing wall plenum when replacing an older unit. All VHA VTAC units are hardwire only. An electrician is required to hardwire your new unit if you are replacing an existing system. The Friedrich VTAC units are FRONT INSTALL ONLY.
It is a transition piece that adapts the new vertical air conditioner systems to fit the older wall plenums. It will add about 2.5" to the depth (front to back). It is to be used when replacing older GE Zoneline AZ75 or AZ85 model using any of the following plenums with a Friedrich VHA VTAC.
- RAVWP6 - for installations with walls up to 6" thick
- RAVWP8 - for installations with walls up to 8" thick
- RAVWP12 - for installations with walls up to 12" thick
- RAVWP15 - for installations with walls up to 15" thick
The kit includes the transition plenum, 4 pieces of insulation (top, bottom and 2 side pieces), drain pan and 6 screws.
If you are replacing an AZ75 or AZ85 with any Friedrich VHA VTAC you will need a RAVTRANS.
