The RAVTRANS4 transition kit is required when replacing your older AZ90 and AZ91 Series VTACs with the newer AVES (V10) or AVVS (V11) units. The RAVTRANS4 kit is to be used when replacing AZ90 and AZ91 series units with an existing RAVWPT14 wall plenum.
Differences in chassis designs between the AZ90/AZ91 series and V10 and V11 series require careful installation and planning. Changes in drain exit locations and drain routing, electrical connections, platform height, and conditioned air duct locations are all items that need to be considered when replacing an AZ90/ AZ91 series unit with a variable speed unit. The RAVTRANS3 will also work when replacing the Friedrich VHA units with an AVES or AVVS.
The kit includes the transition plenum with air divider, front bracket and screws. It is 33-7/10"h x 23-7/10"w x 12-1/8"d.
If you are replacing an AZ90/91 with an AVES or AVVS you will need a RAVTRANS3 (8" wall thickness or less) or RAVTRANS4 (8" wall thickness or more).
