Closed-loop hydronic heating systems have water pipes that remain filled with water. The base of a hydronic system is a boiler operated heating system. Radiators, baseboard and some radiant floor heating systems are all examples of hydronic / closed loop systems. Although water is the most common liquid in a hydronic heating system, a mixture of water and glycol is often used as well. A thermostat is used with these systems to operate on/off and temperature control.

Designed for residential hydronic heating systems, the AM10-3FV1 3-Speed Cast Iron Circulator circulates the water in your closed-loop system. The circulator helps push the water through the system so the hot water is able to reach the last point in your system. If your system is starting to get noisy or leaking, it may mean that your circulator needs replacing. A leaky pump may cause a drop in water pressure in the home, which in turn will cause less heat to reach all areas of your home.

The AM10-3FV1 3-Speed Cast Iron Circulator offers a 0 - 16 GPM flow rate. It will operate in conditions where the maximum ambient temperature is 104°F (40°C) and a maximum water / liquid temperature of 230°F (110°C) with a max. pressure of 125 psi. It offers 3 speeds and is maintenance free circulator. Additionally, the AMR-3FV1 includes a built-in check valve. A check valve is a safety measure to protect your pipes from backflow. It allows the fluid in the pipes to only flow one way. If the flow begins to turn, the valve closes protecting the pipes and your usable water from unwanted contaminants. All of the moving parts of the AquaMotion AM10-3FV1 circulator are housed in a "Green Eco Cartridge Design". It is the only field serviceable and replaceable cartridge available. With this design, simply remove the rotor assembly, flush the cartridge with water and reinstall it. Simple, cost-effective, patented technology!

The AM10-3FV1 is for use with Water Only and Water/ Glycol Mixture (Ethylene, Propylene only) hydronic heating systems. It can be used to replace several brands of circulators. For a comparison of popular circulators, please see the Cross Reference Chart under Manuals and Guides.
