Triangle Tube is well known for its high efficiency hydronic boilers. The Instinct SOLO is a great option for a residential boiler. The Instinct line offers several installation and BTU options to best suit your needs. The Instinct line includes both wall mounted and floor standing options as well as boilers only (SOLO) and combination boilers / domestic hot water (COMBI). The INSFS155S is a floor standing SOLO model. No matter which is right for you, the Instinct line boasts a 95% AFUE efficiency ratings and is Energy Star Certified. The INS155S is part of the Instinct SOLO line, meaning it is only a boiler. The Instinct COMBI, as the name implies, is a combination boiler and hot water heater. The SOLO line is not for Domestic Hot Water (DHW), but can be used with an indirect hot water heater.
Triangle Tube is an innovator in Fire Tube Technology. With Fire Tube Technology, the hot combustion gases created pass through tubes, allowing the water to be heated by the combustion gases as they pass through the tubes. A 439 Stainless Steel fire tube heat exchanger is used in the Instinct boilers. With stainless steel, there is less corrosion and your exchanger is able to deliver a highly efficient condensing boiler with an extremely clean burn - all with no manual adjustments.
The Instinct line also has the Triangle Tube CTRLMax Control System. It features a 60-second, user-friendly set-up wizard in plain English and easy to follow graphics - no error codes to look up. Set up and troubleshooting made easy. Step by step instructions on the screen help to breeze you through the unit set-up. Additionally, Triangle Tube takes the guesswork out of setting up the system as it determines the correct combustion settings based on the altitude selected and the CNTRLMax System does all the monitoring. No more guesswork when it needs servicing. And in terms of servicing, everything is easily accessible from the front of the unit!
A boiler turndown ratio represents the difference between a boiler's maximum and minimum firing (heat output) capacity. The Triangle Tube turndown ratio, or range of operation, on the Instinct Wall Hung boilers, is 8:1. The INSF155S can operate efficiently with a minimum firing capacity of 19,375 BTUs and conversely, will perform just as efficiently at its maximum firing capacity of 155,000 BTUs. This wide range of operating capacity also helps to avoid short cycling. The higher the turndown ratio, the more efficient your system is at lower heat loads.
The included 3-in-1 vent adapter gives you, and your installer, the convenience of choice for your venting material. It offers flexibility in choosing the venting material that is right for you. It is compatible with PVC, Polypropylene or Stainless Steel venting. The vent connection is 3", however when using 2" venting (reducer required), the vent length can only be 33'. When using a 3" vent, the vent length can be as long as 100'.
