When installing an SPV-HP unit, a specialized sleeve is required. The purpose of the sleeve is to ensure your unit is installed level. It includes a built-in condensate drain pan in the base and provides an attachment point for the architectural grille. Since the SPV-HP units do not install in a wall opening, the use of a specialized sleeve also maintains clear pathways for fresh air in, stale air out. The built-in drain pan is designed to hold water in the bottom without leaking into the wall cavity. The WS1--58 is for walls from 5" up to 8" thick. Also included on the sleeve are heavy duty leveling legs with locking nuts. It has a powder coat finish and features a foil face rubber insulation liner. Additionally, there are pre-drilled holes on the side for mounting to the inside of the frame opening for added stability.

A 3/4" female pipe thread connection is provided in the bottom for field connection to a condensate riser. If the primary condensate drain becomes clogged and the condensate drain overflows, water will flow toward the front of the sleeve to the exterior of the building.
