Maximize the heat in your room with a ACUF32-BD vent free, radiant firebox. It offers a louverless, clean front and includes a multi-tonal brown dual-sided ceramic fiber liner. Yes, the liner is reversible! One side of this liner offers a traditional brick pattern, while the reverse side features a herringbone pattern. Both patterns feature realistic brown and brick tones for an authentic traditional fireplace look. It offers a beautiful 32" wide viewing area. With a log set (sold separately) of your choice, you will warm up quickly. No chimney is required for a vent free fireplace and since it is also a zero clearance firebox, it can be installed flush against virtually any surface including drywall or wood. Plus this also gives you the flexibility of installing on an interior or exterior wall!
 
With a vent free firebox, fresh air is drawn in at the bottom of the firebox, and warmed air is expelled into the room from the top. The ACUF32 firebox features an angled top design to help direct the warm air out for maximum efficiency. A blower (GFK-160VF) can be added to help circulate the warm air.
 
The ACUF32 firebox can accept most 18" vent free log sets and burners (sold separately). Some 24" log sets and burners may be acceptable as well. Please confirm all minimum dimensions required for specific burners and log sets. With zero clearance, the firebox can be installed flush against any surface like drywall or wood.
 
The ACUF32-BD firebox offers a clean face and a large 32" x 27" viewing area. Included with the firebox is a black hood. 
 
Minimum hearth dimensions required for the ACUF32-BD are:

  • 25-1/2" Front Height
  • 20-3/8" Rear Width
  • 22-5/8" Rear Height
  • 15" Deep
Framing dimensions are 38-1/2"w x 34-1/4"h x 19-3/4"d.

The ACUF32-BD will accept Monessen 18" Log Sets (sold separately). Below are the Monessen Log Set options available for this firebox. Additionally, Monessen offers Natural Blaze burners with Natural Blaze Technology. This technology helps provide taller, more lively flames for a truly realistic fire in your vent-free firebox. Beautiful yellow flames are instantly achieved every time your burner is switched on. Available burners for the 32" firebox include:
  • Millivolt Valve (NB18PV, NB18NV) - standing pilot with on/off switch and manual variable flame height control  and remote ready (remote sold separately)
  • Electronic Ignition with Intellifire Plus System (NB18PIF, NB18NIF) - intermittent pilot/electronic ignition, 3 step flame adjustment and Touch Screen Thermostat Remote included.

An optional outside air kit is also available for vent free fireboxes. The AKD introduces fresh, outside air into the firebox. An outside air kit is recommended as an accessory when installing a vent free appliance into newer, more air tight construction for an adequate supply of fresh air. Some local building codes may require an outside air kit.
 
Additionally, an Accent Lighting Kit (MONAL-VF) is also available separately.

While there are no decorative pieces required for this firebox, several mantel cabinets are available (sold separately) to help customize your fireplace look.
