Like the sun, radiant heat, with its soft orange glow, warms people and objects not the air. King Electric's SmartWave Carbon Fiber radiant heaters feature CarbonIQ - carbon fiber elements, that produce high-output medium-wave infrared heat with the ability to transfer heat to a person or an object. Its medium-wave output offers a less intense light versus short-wave infrared. SmartWave heaters are a great choice for outdoor patios or commercial applications such as restaurants, where high heat is required but less visible light is desired.
The RKX2430-RMTX-BLK is rated for both indoor and well-protected outdoor installations. It is 240V and 3000 Watts. Set-up is a breeze and can be installed with its adjustable wall/ceiling brackets or chain mounted at a 0° to 45° angle for instant directional heat. It can either be wall or ceiling mounted with the included adjustable wall/ceiling brackets. Additionally, it can be chain mounted (field supplied). It requires hard-wire installation.
The heater offers 3 heating levels, as well as a 24-hour timer with increments in minutes, a permanent dimmer and the ability to change the switch to a double pole disconnect. The integrated, built-in controller, lets you select between the heat levels or easily set the timer. Also included is an RF remote control, making it even easier to control your heat. This 43" radiant heater has double carbon lamps.
It should be mounted 9 - 10-1/2 feet from the floor and will cover an area approximately 8' x 8'. It is constructed of Aircraft grade aluminum & stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance and features an IP55 rating, making it acceptable for use in all weather conditions.
