King KB2015-3-PLTMX 15kW PlatinumX Series Single Stage 3-Phase Electric Unit Heater with Remote Included - 208V

The King KB PlatinumX unit heaters are single stage heaters with a ton of features. The PlatinumX line includes a built-in electronic thermostat and a hand-held infrared remote control.  The built-in control panel offers everything you need to control your heater with easy to use touch-button controls. The included remote control makes controlling your heater easier - especially if the heater is in a harder to reach area. It even comes with a wall holder so you are less likely to lose it! Additionally, the KB PlatinumX series comes standard with a provision for adding an optional 24V thermostat for remote / wall temperature control, and it is compatible with Nest and other 24V WiFi thermostats. This helps to make controlling your garage heater even easier.

PlatinumX unit heaters come in a variety of heater sizes including single-phase, 3-phase and multi-phase. Multi-phase units are shipped from the factory wired at 1-phase and are field switchable to 3-phase by reconnecting the wires as indicated in the wiring diagram attached to the heater. The KB2015-3-PLTMX is a 3-phase, 208V heater. It offers a 15 kW / 15,000 Watt heater (approximately 51,200 BTUs) and features a 925 CFM built-in fan. It is a powerful 3-phase heater and draws 41.7 amps. The PlatinumX Series is perfect for larger spaces that are in need of heat. It is a single stage heating unit and includes an integrated summer fan only setting as well as thermostat timer modes. The built-in fan delay helps to dissipate the heat once the desired temperature has been reached. It also has Timer Modes. The built-in temperature control panel is easy to read and use. It has bright red LCD temperature display.

The King KB PlatinumX unit heaters are designed to be used as primary heat sources for large, open spaces such as stores, warehouses, garages and even high rise buildings. Additionally, they can be used in water treatment and fire room vaults to prevent freezing. Patent Pending Smart Limit Protection automatically shuts off the power if something unforeseen occurs. If this occurs, the unit must be manually reset.

The metal sheath element is copper-brazed with spiral fins formed in a spiral for maximum airflow. The unit offers high CFMs to ensure even air distribution while eliminating hot spots. Spiral steel elements and high CFMs also help to ensure even air distribution while producing cooler element operation to help prolong the life of the heater.

The King Electric Platinum Series includes several standard safety precautions. A built-in fan delay is included on all models over 12.5 kW to dispel residual heat from the heating elements. Another standard safety feature includes Smart Limit Protection which protects against Thermal Overload. It disconnects the elements and motor when normal operating temperatures are exceeded. If the thermal overload trips, it will remain open until it is manually reset by turning the heater off for 15 minutes.

It is constructed from 20 gauge electro-galvanized steel, complete with a rust inhibiting enamel finish. The louvers are adjustable up and down for your best heat distribution. Included with the heater is a universal wall/ceiling bracket for simple installation, either on the wall or hanging from the ceiling. The KB2015-3-PLTMX offers a 33 ft. air throw and has a maximum mounting height of 12'. It does require 6" clearance on all sides and to the back of the unit.
