Perfect for your home anywhere in the contiguous US states, this heat pump air conditioner outdoor unit will pair with a heat pump coil or air handler to give your year round comfort. When paired appropriately, the GLZS4B Series can keep your home cool on the hottest days and toasty on the coldest days. The GLZS4BA2410 is a 2.0 ton Heat Pump system offering 24,000 BTUs each cooling and heat pump capacity.

This single stage rotary compressor will work reliably and smoothly. While the GLZS4B is a high efficiency compressor, it offers the lowest efficiency ratings allowable for installation in any area of the US, with SEER2 ratings up to 15.2 and HSPF2 ratings up to 7.8. The efficiency ratings set forth by DOE Efficiency Standards, declare that the GLZS4B series can be installed in any state in the US. It uses R32 refrigerant. R32 is one of several refrigerants being used that meets the new industry standards. R32 is more efficient than R410A, resulting in lower Global Warming Potential (GWP).

As you know, your air conditioning system is unsheltered from every single weather situation that exists in your region. Goodman Air Conditioners are built to last with a heavy gauge galvanized steel cabinet with a powder-paint Architectural Gray finish that includes 500-hour salt-spray approval. The finish process will keep your unit protected even in the harshest conditions. The cabinet also features a steel louver coil guard. Both top and side access make for easier maintenance and repair access. Additionally, it has single-panel access to controls with space provided for field-installed accessories. Installation requires specified TXV Kit to be installed on the indoor coil. Specified TXV is determined by outdoor unit NOT the indoor coil.

The GLZS4B Series features a high efficiency compressor with a single speed PSC condenser fan motor and SmartShift technology to ensure quiet and reliable defrost. SmartShift Technology is a time-delay defrost technology that offers a reliable, quiet, smooth transition when the system enters into the defrost mode. Units up to 3.5 tons includes a 5mm diameter enhanced aluminum fin coil, while the 4 and 5 ton units include 7mm diameter copper tubes. The units also include several factory installed items including a bi-flow liquid line filter drier to protect the system from dirt and moisture, suction line accumulator, compressor crankcase heater, high capacity muffler and high and low pressure switches. Service valves are equipped with sweat connections and easy access to gauge ports.

Goodman Air Conditioners can be purchased by anyone, however, all split systems must be installed by a certified HVAC installer.
