The Universal Refrigerant Detection System is for systems that use A2L refrigerants. A2L refrigerants are mildly flammable and require mitigation controls to check for leaks. In the event of a refrigerant leak, the ICM-UA2L-24C-DUAL provides rapid-response compressor lockout and activates the system fan as well triggers an alarm. Compared to other refrigerant detection systems, the ICM-UA2L-24C-DUAL is designed specifically for use with the more prominent A2L refrigerants (R32 and R454B) being used today. It has a dual channel design allowing for coverage across multiple zones, detects and responds to leak detection and integrates into your HVAC control boards, Building Management System (BMS) /Modbus without add-ons. This integrations allows you to monitor you refrigerant levels remotely, log events as well as get alerts. The ICM-UA2L-24C-DUAL is not a portable detection sensor.
