Built-in, through-the-wall air conditioners are ideal for windowless spaces, or for those who are looking for an indoor cooling that would still allow the option of opening and closing windows at will. Many buildings already feature through the wall air conditioners and this 24" unit is a great option for replacement. It features a universal fit and is designed for installation into most existing wall sleeves. This unit, boasting 8,300 BTUs, features three speeds, thermostat control and infrared remote. The AKCQ08ACJ is a 115V air through the wall air conditioner which also has a 24 hr timer and an energy saver feature, which will temporarily shut the air conditioner off when the room reaches a certain temperature, as to not over-cool the room or over-exert the unit. The controls on this unit are conveniently located across the upper middle of the unit.
 
A trim kit and installation kit are included. A wall sleeve is required for new installation (not included). The RAB24 wall sleeve is sold separately. Optional Grille RAG14E is also sold separately.
