Distinctions by Amana DHP123A50AA 12000 BTU Class 10.5 EER PTAC Air Conditioner with Heat Pump - R410A - 5.0 kW - 30 Amp

The DHP123A50AA is for residential and commercial use with 208 / 230 volt electricity. This unit offers 11,800 / 12,000 BTUs of cooling power, 10,500 / 10,800 BTU heat pump capacity and a 5.0 kW electric heater, providing approximately 12,200 / 15,000 BTUs of electric backup heat. It also includes a 30 amp power cord. The Distinctions by Amana DHP123A50AA PTAC features an EER of 10.5. It use R410A refrigerant.

The Quiet White color, shallow front and efficient operation will complement any room without being intrusive. Distinctions PTACs, like all 42" PTACs, are installed in a sleeve through the wall. The front panel can be fixed to the chassis with a concealed screw. This helps avoid unauthorized tinkering with the unit.

Distinctions cooling with heat pump and electric back-up heat PTAC units offer Energy Efficiency Ratings (EER) from 10.5 up to 11.4. Of course these ratings are dependent on the size PTAC! Distinctions cooling / heat pump PTACs are available in a variety of sizes from 9,000 - 15,000 BTUs. Features include 3 fan speeds for cooling as well as a fan only mode, temperature display in °F or °C. The set temperature will display in the cooling mode and the room temperature will display in the fan only mode. The unit can be controlled either from the unit itself or with a wired wall thermostat. Automatic Emergency Heat is also standard on these units. The electric back-up heat is initiated if the heating load is too much for the heat pump to keep up or if the heat pump compressor fails. Evaporator Freeze Protection automatically turns the compressor off and the fan on when the evaporator temperature gets too low. Once the evaporator temperature is no longer too low, the system will go back on. Distinctions PTAC units also include a condensate dispersion system that "throws" excess condensation onto the outdoor coil for fast evaporation, while allowing for maximum cooling efficiency.

Multi-unit installations are normal with PTACs. The Distinctions line of PTACs can be configured for Front Desk Control. Out of the box these units can be setup to have temperature limiting giving you the control over the maximum and minimum temperatures in the space all while allowing your guest to select any temperature they want. This prevents over heating and over cooling saving you money.

Easy to access filters on the front of the unit can be cleaned to help keep the air in the room fresh. The filters are washable and easy to maintain.

New installations require a sleeve and a rear grille. These items are not included with the air conditioner. Fits a standard PTAC Sleeve Size (WxHxD): 42" x 16-1/16" x 14-1/8". The cut-out dimensions for this unit are 42-1/4"w x 16-1/4"h.
