Give your property a homelike appearance with a Vert-I-Pak Vertical Packaged Air System - a simpler way to condition multiple rooms. Vert-I-Pak fits neatly into a typical mechanical closet, so you can create indoor living spaces that are more versatile. Since the system fits into a closet with an outside wall, guests and tenants will enjoy a quieter, visually appealing living space, without giving up individual, in-room temperature control or access to windows. Even quieter operating sound levels may be achieved by insulating the closet. Additionally, to help further eliminate vibration noise, the unit slides into the wall plenum and is sealed with a gasket. The unit also includes extra thick grommets, mounted on the base.
The VHA09R models are 265 volt. These units are for commercial use only and feature 9,400 BTUs of cooling comfort and 8,600 BTUs of heat from the heat pump. The new line of Friedrich VTACs boasts R-32 low-GWP refrigerant. R32 is up to 12% more efficient than R410A, resulting in lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). The lower the GWP, the better for the environment. In addition to meeting to new AHRI standards, Friedrich verticals are rated with the new SEER2, EER2 and HSPF2 ratings as well. The new Friedrich VHA09R**RCQ models of VTACs all feature 10.6 EER2, 12.3 SEER2, 6.3 HSPF2 ratings. Additionally, with its new base pan heater the Friedrich RCQ Series offer Ultimate Low-Ambient Operation. The Friedrich VTAC units offer heat pump operation down to 10°F at which point the back-up electric heater will kick on.
The newly designed Friedrich VTACs do require a rectangular duct transition to 10" as well as a new platform which requires field sourced 2x4's for support. With a vertical packaged air system you get several installation possibilities:
- A Simpler Way to Condition Multiple Rooms - A single unit may be ducted for flexible zone cooling in multiple rooms.
- Installs as easily as a PTAC - All units are pre-wired, charged and piped, so only electrical hook up is needed to be up and running.
- As a packaged unit, this air conditioner comes pre-charged with refrigerant, so there is no additional sealed system work required.
- A Better System Inside and Out - Ideal for extended stay properties, suites, assisted living facilities and student housing.
- Lower MCA and MOCP with concurrent compressor and resistance heat operation during defrost
