The AccuTrak VPE-GN is an easy-to-use, yet powerful tool to help technicians locate problems in many air conditioning, refrigeration, automotive as well as other types of systems. It is a highly ultrasonic sensor to detect high frequency sound traveling through the air, such as gas and air leaks.
The Superior AccuTrak Leak Detectors use a technology called heterodyning to convert high-frequency ultrasonic sounds into lower frequencies that can be heard through the included professional noise canceling headphones. This allows users to clearly hear problem sounds while minimizing interference from everyday background noise, especially when working in noisy places. It only picks up ultrasonic noises, not audible range noises such as voices or other electrical or mechanical devices.
