A power cord is required for the new PTAC units by LG. The new line of PTACs features a universal heater assembly that is capable of producing electric resistance heat. Three power cords are available. The amount of resistance heat is determined by the selection of the correct power connection kit. Power cords are available in for 15 amp, 20 amp or 30-amp circuits
This power cord with LCDI is required for 30 amp circuit. The LG PTAC units use a 208/230 volt circuit and the power cord is connected to the base pan and then simply plugs into a wall-mounted receptacle.
This 208/230 volt, 30 amp cord will produce 4600/4700 Watts of Electric Heat. The heater current is 12.3/20.6 amps. It fits a standard 208/230V, 3-wire receptacle, rated 30 amps.
