Product Overview
The King OKH Radiant Heaters are rated for both indoor and outdoor installation. They are the perfect option for larger areas. They work well in warehouses and factory workstation areas where good temperature control is required. They are also ideal in areas where a larger, more rugged unit is required and where the light emitted from a quartz lamp might be objectionable, as there is no glare from these heaters.
The OKH heaters are not required to be mounted high, with minimum clearances of 72" from the floor and 24" from the ceiling and 24" on either end - and from walls. Multiple units can be installed with a minimum of 36" between units. The units are easily mounted from the ceiling or installed with rods or flush mounted to a non-combustible surface.
It is a radiant heater which heats surfaces through electromagnetic waves. Rather than heating the air, radiant heat is absorbed by objects in the room, heating the space similar to the way objects absorb the heat of the sun.
Additional benefits of installing an OKH radiant heater are:
- Increased Watt Density
- For Larger Spaces
- Moisture Resistant Housing for Indoor or Outdoor Use
- Heats Objects Not the Surrounding Air
- Radiant Heat
- Hairpin Incoloy® Sheathed Element
- Extruded Aluminum Housing
- 45˚ Spread
- Rated For Indoor Or Outdoor Use
- Multiple Mounting Options Available
Installation possibilities for this type of heater include larger areas such as racetracks and other outdoor stadiums, parking garages, aircraft hangars and high bay industrial buildings. Coverage area for each heater unit is dependent on the height with which it is mounted.
