The 26" GE AJEQ Series built-in air conditioners combine modern styling, variable-speed inverter technology, and built-in WiFi for enhanced comfort and convenience. The GE AJEQ12DCXWA provides up to 12,000 BTUs of cooling capacity, 10,600 BTUs of electric heat, and operates on 208/230-volt power.
Unlike traditional single-stage air conditioners that run at full capacity whenever they are on, inverter technology allows this unit to continuously adjust its output based on the cooling needs of the room. With a cooling capacity range of 6,100 to 12,400 BTUs, the AJEQ12DCXWA can efficiently serve a variety of room sizes while delivering only the amount of cooling needed to maintain your desired temperature. This results in improved comfort including more consistent temperature with better humidity control, quieter operation, and greater energy efficiency. Because it offers reduced start/stop cycles there will be less wear and tear on the components. Once an inverter unit reaches the set temperature, the compressor will slow down, while still maintaining the temperature. The unit is finished in soft grey.
In addition to the variable speed motor, the unit also features 3 cooling and 3 fan only speeds with 6-way directional airflow to reach every corner of your space, and a 24-hour on/off delay timer, for utmost efficiency in proper indoor cooling. The electronic, capacitive touch controls and auto dimming display offers a smooth touch control panel with large LCD display with centered controls. A full function remote is included with this unit. The AJEQ heat and cool air conditioner also includes Premium Guard Seacoast Protection. This improved corrosion protection has special coatings and double coats of paint on key components. These include coils, the base pan, compressor and stainless screws.
Built-in, through-the-wall air conditioners are ideal for windowless spaces, or for those who are looking for an indoor cooling that would still allow the option of opening and closing windows at will. It offers a true built in look with only a minimal 5" extension into the room with front. Competitor units require a 7.5 minimum extension into the room with front.
The AJEQ12DCXWA is WiFi enabled with a built-in GE SmartHQ communication card built right in. WiFi lets you communicate with your AC unit, allowing you to monitor and control it from your phone!

A sleeve (RAB26A) is color-matched and features a Quick Snap Design. A sleeve is required for NEW INSTALLATIONS. An optional Grille (RAG14E) is also available (sold separately).
The new GE AJEQ "J Series" is a Standard Mount Heat and Cool (electric heat strip) unit. Standard mount units include a control panel that is set in the upper half of the front of the unit, allowing for easy access when the unit is mounted at or below eye level. The AJEQ12DCXWA is a 12,000 BTU class unit for use with 230 volt electricity.
Dimensions (HxWxD): 15-1/2" x 26" x 20-1/4", when installed in the sleeve. The dimensions of the unit without the sleeve are 14.875"h x 24.813"w x 19.906"d.
The AJEQ12DCXWA can be used to replace several 8,000, 10,000 and 12,000 BTU GE Through-the-Wall units including AJEQ08AWJ, AJEQ10DWJ, AJEQ12DWJ.
