Daikin Oterra Series Mini Split Air Conditioners

The new Daikin Oterra Series boasts R-32 low-GWP refrigerant. R-32 refrigerant offers up to 12% greater efficiency than R-410A and has a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP), better for the environment. The Oterra Series provides energy-efficient comfort control for a single zone. This system provides both cooling and heating via a heat pump. Each single-zone system comes complete with an indoor and outdoor unit, as well as a remote. The updated design of the wall-mounted FTXF24BVJU9 pairs with a quiet, compact outdoor unit (RXF24BVJU9). This unit offers 22,400 BTUs cooling capacity and 24,000 BTUs heating. It boasts an EER2 of 12.0, SEER2 rating of 21.0, and an HSPF2 of 9.5.

Year-Round Comfort

An inverter compressor helps to minimize temperature fluctuations by providing the ideal level of comfort continuously. Instead of shutting off completely when the set temperature is reached, the compressor continuously adjusts up and down to maintain your set comfort level. With its variable speed compressor, the system modulates from 7,000 - 26,400 BTUs in the cooling mode and 6,200 - 32,000 BTUs in the heating mode, delivering enhanced comfort and improved energy efficiency. The wide capacity range makes it easier to size the right unit for your space. The Oterra Series will cool when outdoor temperatures are from 50°F up to 118°F and will heat when outdoor temperatures are between 5°F and 64°F. Extended cooling operation (to 5°F) can be achieved with some field adjustments and the addition of a wind baffle.

In addition to its modern styling with wipe clean flat panel, the Oterra Series has built-in WiFi. The DKN Cloud App gives you the ability to control you system from anywhere. It also makes your system compatible with several Daikin One Thermostats. These cloud-connected thermostats allow you to grant your contractor access to Daikin One Cloud services through the app. The app can notify your contractor when maintenance is needed and provides system performance data.
