Many hotels use standard PTAC units in their hotel rooms, but few think about the quality of the air their guests are breathing. The RZ AIRflow is trying to combat that! But until then the RZ AIRflow is available in a handy carrying case for consumers. RZ AIRflow is a portable air purifying filter for PTAC units that easily clips right onto the vent location of almost any PTAC unit manufactured in the last 10 years. It features a HEPA filter in the center and two Active Carbon Filters on either side. A third Carbon Filter sits behind the HEPA filter for additional room purification.
HEPA filters work to purify up to 99.97% of allergens, viruses and bacteria down to 0.3 microns. Additionally, the carbon filters work to reduce fumes and odors such as smoke and mustiness. Together, these filters can reduce odors and purify the air in an average room in about 45 minutes. These filters are long-lasting and replaceable. When used in a continuous use facility, It is recommended to replace the filters every 6 months. depending on your use. The carbon filters will show wear before the HEPA. Additionally, if you notice the air is not noticeably cleaner smelling, then it may be time to change the filters.
Because this filter comes with a storage case, you can bring it anywhere! Perfect for travel, and if you happen to have a PTAC in your home, perfect for home use too! It simply collapses down to a compact 11.6" x 7" x 3.5", and weigh less than 2 pounds. Installation is easy. Each unit includes two sets of different sized vent clamps to ensure it fits on any brand of PTAC vent louver. Simply use the appropriate clamp, attach the side carbon filters and tighten down with the nuts.
When you attach and use an RZ AIRflow filter kit, you will not notice a difference in airflow or temperature. The RZ AIRflow is optimized to hold the set temperature and will only be in operation when your PTAC is running. There is no battery or plug-in required, so nothing extra to carry!
