Product Overview
The 237 submersible sump pump features a vertical magnetic float switch. As the float moves along its stem to the top of your pump, the switch turns the pump on and begins emptying the basin. Once the float reaches the bottom of your pump, having drained the water to the bottom, the pump switches off. This action occurs as needed until the water stops filling the basin. The 1/3 horsepower motor is oil-filled and thermally protected, offers quiet operation and is built to last. The deep finned outer shell is powder-coated aluminum which provides more cooling capacity than cast iron housing.
Have no fear if dirt and debris are mixed into your water. The 237 is equipped with 3/8" solids handling - reducing larger debris form entering the pump. A pump that offers solids handling allows solid particles and other materials through (up to 3/8" with the 237 pump), while transporting fluids. This sump pump has a 21' max. head, auto shut off. The 237 also has a high capacity flow rate. As an example, at 10 ft. head, this pump will direct up to 30 gallons a minute up and out of your space!
At 10-1/2" high this sump pump sits at the bottom of your sump basin and will switch on when the float reaches the turn-on level. The depth of your sump basin should be at least 12" from the surface the pump is resting on a minimum of 10" in diameter. Of course a larger basin would allow for a longer pump cycle and increase the longevity of your float switch. It includes a removeable base that allows for suction down to 1/8" automatically turns off when the float is the bottom of the basin. The 237 includes a 10' cord. Keep you sump pump basin covered to prevent debris and other foreign objects from getting into the basin.
