Standard central air conditioning condensers are a significant part to a whole home comfort solution. Used with a coil or air handler, the GLXS5B Series can keep your home cool on the hottest days. The GLXS5BA6010 is a 5 ton Split A/C system offering 60,000 BTU cooling capacity.
This two stage scroll compressor is a high efficiency compressor and will work reliably and smoothly. The GLXS5BA series features high efficiency ratings allowable for installation in any area of the US, boasting SEER2 ratings up to 16.5. The efficiency ratings set forth by DOE Efficiency Standards, declare that the GLXS5BA series can be installed in any state in the US. It uses R32 refrigerant. R32 is one of several refrigerants being used that meets the new industry standards. R32 is more efficient than R410A, resulting in lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). Additionally, the GLXS5BA series is also Energy Star Certified. Proper sizing and installation of equipment is critical to achieving optimal performance. Split system air conditioners and heat pumps must be matched with appropriate coil components to meet ENERGY STAR criteria.
As you know, your air conditioning system is unsheltered from every single weather situation that exists in your region. Goodman Air Conditioners are built to last with a heavy gauge galvanized steel cabinet with a powder-paint Architectural Gray finish that includes 500-hour salt-spray approval. The finish process will keep your unit protected even in the harshest conditions. The cabinet also features a steel louver coil guard. Both top and side access make for easier maintenance and repair access. Additionally, it has single-panel access to controls with space provided for field-installed accessories.
Goodman wants your central air unit to last. A 10 year parts limited warranty is included. Warranty support and parts are only available to licensed contractors.

Goodman Air conditioners can be purchased by anyone, however, all split systems must be installed by a certified HVAC installer. Environmentally friendly R-32 refrigerant is pre-charged in the system for up to 15 feet of line. Experience is key to a successful split system installation. Only an experienced HVAC technician will have the knowledge and tools required to make sure that installation is perfect.
