Distinctions by Amana DCP153J35BA 15000 BTU Class 10.6 EER PTAC Air Conditioner - 3.5 kW - 20 Amp - R32 Refrigerant

The DCP153J35BA is for residential and commercial use with 208 / 230 volt electricity. This unit offers 14,500 / 14,700 BTUs of cooling power and a 3.5 kW electric heater, providing approximately 8,900 / 10,900 BTUs of electric backup heat. It also includes a 20 amp power cord. The Distinctions by Amana DCP153J35BA PTAC features an EER of 10.6. It uses R32 refrigerant. R32 is up to 12% more efficient than R410A, resulting in lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). The lower the GWP, the better for the environment.

The Quiet White color, shallow front and efficient operation will complement any room without being intrusive. Distinctions PTACs, like all 42" PTACs, are installed in a sleeve through the wall. The front panel can be fixed to the chassis with a concealed screw. This helps avoid unauthorized tinkering with the unit.

Distinctions cooling PTAC units offer Energy Efficiency Ratings (EER) from 10.6 up to 13.1. These ratings are dependent on the size PTAC! Distinctions cooling PTACs are available in a variety of sizes from 7,000 - 15,000 BTUs. Features include 3 fan speeds for cooling as well as a fan only mode, temperature display in °F or °C. The set temperature will display in the cooling mode and the room temperature will display in the fan only mode. The unit can be controlled either from the unit itself or with a wired wall thermostat. Evaporator Freeze Protection automatically turns the compressor off and the fan on when the evaporator temperature gets too low. Once the evaporator temperature is no longer too low, the system will go back on. Distinctions PTAC units also include a condensate dispersion system that "throws" excess condensation onto the outdoor coil for fast evaporation, while allowing for maximum cooling efficiency.

Multi-unit installations are normal with PTACs. The Distinctions line of PTACs can be configured for Front Desk Control. Out of the box these units can be setup to have temperature limiting giving you the control over the maximum and minimum temperatures in the space all while allowing your guest to select any temperature they want. This prevents over heating and over cooling saving you money. Additionally, the Distinctions line is also wired thermostat compatible allowing for temperature limiting as well.

Easy to access filters on the front of the unit can be cleaned to help keep the air in the room fresh. The filters are washable and easy to maintain.

New installations require a sleeve and a rear grille. These items are not included with the air conditioner. Fits a standard PTAC Sleeve Size (WxHxD): 42" x 16-1/16" x 14-1/8". The cut-out dimensions for this unit are 42-1/4"w x 16-1/4"h.
