The 17 Series provides energy efficient, comfort control for a single zone. This unit is a cooling system with a heat pump. Each single zone system comes complete with an indoor and outdoor unit as well as a remote. The streamlined, wall-mounted FTXB12AXVJU pairs with a quiet, compact outdoor unit (RXB12AXVJU). This unit offers 11,000 BTUs cooling capacity and 11,300 BTUs heating. It will efficiently cool a room that is about 400 - 500 sq. ft. and boasts an EER of 8.5 and a SEER rating of 17, with an HSPF of 9.
The 17-Series will cool when outdoor temperatures range from 50°F up to 115°F and will heat when outdoor temperatures are between 5°F and 65°F. It is a great option for year-round comfort in several regions of the country.
