The Friedrich Floating Air Single Zone Systems feature high efficiency ratings, low ambient heating and cooling capacities. The 115V Select and Pro Systems use the same indoor wall unit. Low ambient heating and cooling capacities are based on the outdoor unit. The Friedrich Select FSHW091C Single Zone System is rated for 9,000 BTU cooling and 9,500 BTUs heating capacity. It will operate in the cooling mode with outdoor temperatures as low as 5°F and as high as 118°F. In the heating mode, it will offer operation down to -5°F and up to 75°F. The Friedrich Pro FPHW091C Single Zone System is also rated for 9,000 BTU cooling and 9,500 BTUs heating capacity. It will operate in the cooling mode with outdoor temperatures as low as 5°F and as high as 118°F. In the heating mode, it will offer operation down to -13°F and up to 75°F. Single Zone units are ideal for heating and cooling a single room. While neither is ideal as your primary heat source in the majority of the country, either offer a great option for secondary heat. 

The Friedrich Floating Air Wall Units feature FastPro Technology making installation and maintenance a much easier, less time consuming task. FastPro gives your HVAC technician easy access to the entire indoor unit, including piping, wire terminal, the fan and fan components. The front panel of your wall unit can be propped open with sliding bolts to keep the cover up and out of the way. If more room is needed to work, there is a slide bar than can be pushed out for a wider space. This makes installation of the refrigerant lines and wiring a much more manageable, less time consuming task for your HVAC technician. Interior parts such as the return air filters and the entire blower wheel assembly are easily removed for cleaning or servicing (away from your room of installation) and re-installed quickly. Servicing should always be left for the HVAC Technicians. FastPro also gives the technician easy access to the coils for maintenance and cleaning. 

The FAHSW09A1C indoor wall unit is used with both Select Series AND Pro Series outdoor compressors. It features 115 volt electricity, 4 fan speeds, 2-way auto swing, 24 hour timer and sleep timer. Operating modes for this indoor wall unit include Auto, Cool, Dry, Fan Only and Heat. TURBO mode operates at maximum performance to cool or heat your room to the set temperature quickly and efficiently and will work to maintain that set temperature in an efficient manner! Its four fan speeds include High, Medium, Low, Quiet and Auto Fan. The indoor unit also has a washable anti-microbial filter. Additionally, the room or set temperature will be displayed on the indoor unit for a brief time. 

When used with the Select Series outdoor unit (FSHSR09B1C), low ambient operation includes cooling operation to 5°F and heating operation down to -5°F! The Select Series outdoor compressor uses R32 Refrigerant. When used with the Pro Line outdoor unit (FPHSR09A1C) low ambient operation includes cooling operation to 5°F and heating operation down to -13°F, with 70% capacity at 5°F. The Pro Line Series outdoor compressors use R454B Refrigerant. Both systems boast built-in WiFi and access to Friedrich ComfortPro App for wireless control as well as Google Assistant and Alexa voice commands.
 
The indoor wall unit operates with its own remote control (included). The 9,000 BTUs will cool a room that is about 450 sq. ft. Factors such as windows, doors, computers and ceiling height must be factored in when calculating the BTUs you need for your specific installation requirements.
