The Danby DDR040BJWDB portable dehumidifier removes up to 40 pints (18.9 liters) of moisture per 24 hours, protecting your home form unwanted humidity, mold and mildew. This unit will remove all the excess humidity in your home up to about 3,000 sq. ft. It is perfect for many basement applications as well as other residential indoor spaces. It is not for commercial use.
The recommended (room ambient) operating temperature should be between 41°F and 95°F. Some features include a bucket full light and an auto-de-icer which prevents ice build-up on coils. With the Smart Dehumidify Function, the unit will automatically control the room humidity by factoring in the ambient temperature. It is a portable unit and can be moved around if dehumidifying is needed in another space. The four caster wheels make this easily movable. It does have a hook-up for continuous draining into a floor drain. If this in in use, portability may be limited, unless it is disconnected.
It is an Energy Star appliance with electronic controls, LED display, a memory setting, 24 hour programmable timer, auto de-icer and auto restart features that will return the unit to all previous setting if the unit is unplugged and reconnected or if there is a power outage. The dehumidifier also includes a washable, re-usable air filter.
