Since a Zoneline Vertical Air Conditoner (ZVAC) does not install in a wall opening, the use of a plenum is required to contain and separate the outdoor air paths. The plenum must be able to hold water in the bottom without leaking into the wall cavity. It also must have a "splitter" to separate the outdoor air paths and prevent the discharge air from being drawn back into the unit.
GE offers two plenums for the AZ9000 series. The choice of the correct plenum is determined by the thickness of the buildings exterior wall. This is the RAVWPT14.
- RAVWPT8 -telescopes from 5.5" - 8" for installations with walls up to 8" thick
- RAVWPT14 - telescopes from 8" - 14" for installations with walls up to 14" thick
Each plenum is 24 1/8" wide x 30 3/8" high and requires a 24 5/8" wide by 30 7/8 high cutout in the wall.
