This PDE09R3SG is a 9400 BTU cooling PTAC with electric resistive heat and an EER of 12.1. This unit features 2 fan speeds for better circulation and with 265V electricity, it is for commercial use only. The SG series also has a Constant Fan Mode that offers a background of white noise while at the same time helping to lower outdoor noise infiltration and indoor noise usually associated with compressor start-up.
All Friedrich PTACs ship complete with a power cord. The PDE09R3SG comes standard with a 20 Amp power cord. The power cord provides 3.5 kW of electric heat. Equipped with a Universal Heater, the electric heating capacity for any given unit is determined by the power cord. By changing the power cord, you can change the heat output of the universal heater. The power cord snaps into the unit for easy installation.
Standard features including the easily accessible and easy to use LCD digital control pad with one-touch operation, and the combination of an indoor and an outdoor motor as well as a tangential blower wheel contribute to the quiet and efficient operation of this unit. The blower wheel casts a large air flow path in order to circulate conditioned air across the entire room. All the features you have come to expect with a PTAC unit are built in including electronic temperature limiting, electronic defrost control, remote thermostat operation, and internal diagnostics.
Units are designed with easy maintenance in mind. Features include error code memory storage, a user friendly design, and emergency heat override. Easy access to components for repair and cleaning like top-mounted filters improve serviceability and durability. The antimicrobial-treated filter protects against fungal and bacterial growth. It is removable and washable. A fresh air damper can be opened to allow outside air in preventing indoor air staleness. Friedrich PTACs are also equipped with Room Freeze Protection. This feature automatically turns the heat on in unoccupied rooms when the temperature drops to 40°F. In all, this PTAC boasts over 40 standard features.
To back it all up, the Friedrich PDE09R3SG is backed with an industry-leading warranty. The warranty includes 2 year parts and labor and a 5 year limited warranty on the sealed refrigeration system.
The standard industry size of 42" allows this unit to fit most standard sleeves for easy installation of replacement units.
