With inverter drive technology, the Climate 5000 systems are Energy Star Rated. Inverter technology will save you money in the long run, by lowering your energy costs while still delivering consistent temperature and humidity levels. Rather than shutting down completely when a desired temperature is reached, an inverter unit is constantly adjusting to meet the demands of your space, maximizing efficiency while operating quietly!
Bosch mini split systems offer installation flexibility, requiring no ducting and offering both ceiling cassette options such as this 18,000 BTU ceiling cassette and wall unit options. Installation is easy. All connections between the indoor units and outdoor unit, including electrical, refrigerant and condensate drain lines, all run through their own small 3" hole from the inside to the outdoor compressor. Four-Way Ceiling Cassettes can be used with both open concept and drop down ceilings. Other ceiling cassette options include:

Universal Wall units include a range of BTUs as well, including 9,000, 12,000, 18,000 and 24,000 BTU units.
Ceiling Cassettes do require a decorative grille to cover the workings of the unit. The grille has the air inlet and outlet and louvers. Air outlets can be set to adjust the airflow angle. Additionally, it includes the Display Panel. The Display offers manual operation button, timer, defrost and fan mode, alarm and infrared receiver lights. The operation and timer lights will flash to show system malfunctions. There is a chart in the installation instructions to indicate the errors. We have included the grille with our ceiling cassettes.
The 18,000 BTU (8733953111; BMS500-AAU018-1AHCXB) as well as the other Bosch ceiling cassettes include a multi-part filter system that keeps the air clean and refreshed by reducing allergens, viruses and bacteria. The filter systems helps to trap dust, pollen and other particles that make breathing a problem for allergy sufferers. Cleaning the filters is quick and easy with warm soapy water and rinse. Plus the system is equipped with a Self-Cleaning Mode that helps to remove additional particles internally and excess moisture, with blue-fin technology, reducing or eliminating mildew. With today's focus on indoor air quality, the Bosch units help alleviate some of the causes of unhealthy air.
The ceiling cassettes offer a sleek, non-intrusive look that blends seamlessly into any room. Plus it is installed in ceiling so it is out of the way! The grille dimensions are 25.5" x 25.5" and it has a thickness of 2". The Sleep Function on this unit increases the room temperature in the Cool Mode (decreases the room temperature in the Heat Mode) incrementally by 2° after the first and second hours, when used.

The Bosch multi-split systems can operate from 2 to 4 interior units (dependent on the outdoor unit chosen). Multi-zone configurations will also have some performance differences based on configuration and draw at any given time. A minimum of two units must be connected in any multi-zone configuration. Each indoor unit is mounted in its own separate room and controlled by a dedicated remote control. Gone are the days of cooling and heating an entire house! Each room can be set to different temperatures. The individual units are connected to a single exterior unit. The Ceiling Cassettes blend with any decor with its sleek and sophisticated design.
*Single zone systems include both the indoor and outdoor units. Multi-zone systems give you the choice of configuring a system for multiple areas of use.
The Bosch Single and Multi-Zone Systems must be installed by a qualified, licensed HVAC technician. Manufacturer covers parts only under warranty. Installer is responsible for labor warranty.

Product Warranty
For Products installed in a one or two family residential dwelling, Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. (BTC) warrants that all compressors and internal components incorporated into the Product at the time of shipment by BTC shall remain free from defects in workmanship and materials for ten (10) years on compressor and seven (7) years* on parts from the Commencement Date as defined below:
- For Products installed in newly constructed homes: date of home purchase by homeowner from builder.
- For Products installed in existing residences: original date of installation.
